- Former Coordinator and Leadership Team Member of The Brant/Brantford Roundtable on Poverty.
- A leader in establishing Brantford's first public community garden which created over 3000 pounds of food for the community utilizing resources and partnerships from business, organizations and community members. It was the first ever garden in the world with a focus on healing between Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal communities. This project now has 7 garden throughout the community with a focus on healing, poverty reduction, health and environmental stewardship.
- Is the Chair of the Brant Elder Abuse Committee and sits on other local committees such as the Mental Week Committee, National Addictions Awareness Week Committee, The LGBTQ & Allies Taskforce, the First Local/Global Peace Festival Committee and is on the board of Arts After School Kids Inc.

- Earned a Master’s in Social Work as well as an HBSW and BA from Lakehead Univeristy and the University of Ottawa respectively.
- Has lectured classes at a variety of Canadian Universities including Laurier Brantford. Topics have included “Empowerment and Voice,” “Advocacy,” “Understanding Communities and Organizations,” “Poverty as a Determinant of Health” and “Children’s Mental Health.”
- Past Vice President/Chief Steward of the Association of Residential Treatment Concepts with Pioneer Youth Services
- Former Executive Producer, On Air-talent for TV ZOOM. During his time there he increased productivity over 1000% helping the organization to achieve other major goals.

- Conceptualized and Organized "Seeing Voices: Community Art and Anti-Oppression Project" in Thunder Bay

- Marc was an active student leader both locally at Assumption College School where he served as President, Secretary, & Youth Vice-President and at the University of Ottawa where he took leadership roles in many areas.
