ANTI-PROROGUE RALLY ON SATURDAY
Local residents wishing to protest against the proroguing of Parliament can join a rally in Hamilton on Saturday, says Marc Laferriere, the federal NDP candidate in Brant.
"I'm going to bring a Brantford contingent to this and will be speaking at it," Laferriere said Wednesday.
The event will be held in Gore Park, near Jackson Square, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Laferriere expects at least 60 people from the Brantford area to be at the rally. Anyone wishing to car-pool can telephone 519-751- 9111.
